Write away
I’m now contributing over at the Bus Bench. Follow me there.
It’s over
Finals are done. I’m done with this semester. Hijole, estoy muy cansado.
Here is one of my all-time favorite narcocorridos, “Las monjitas” by Grupo Exterminador. I wish there was more music like this being created, but I digress.
HAAAANDBAG?
Finals. Suck. I have gone to bed at five in the morning and woken up at nine for the past week or so. Earlier this week I stayed up 36 straight hours. If only I were more productive during the day.
Finals are not over Thursday evening. I am eating dinner, having a break, constantly watching a video I have no idea how I got to it, but makes me laugh each time I hear it.
Tonight I might watch a movie in my room to reward myself for surviving this far. Tomorrow morning I jump back into the final week. Only two more tasks to complete.
Screw this
It snowed in Cambridge New Year’s Day. Thankfully, it didn’t snow Monday, when I arrived, and there wasn’t ice on the paths (notwithstanding the piles of snow on the sides). It snowed and rained today, pretty lightly, but still enough to mess things up. Just now, I went down to CVS to buy a few things. On my way back to my room, I slipped and fell on my left wrist. I remember saying “¡Ay, güey!” as I went down. Next thing I know, my watch unlatched itself (did not break!) and I feel a slight pain in my upper arm. No sprains, just a cut. I stood up as quickly as I could on the ice and slowly walked on ice to snow-covered grass. I’ve had worse falls because of uneven sidewalks.
